Weekend Neurosis

Last week, the weather turned very cold which reminded me of something I dreamed up for my 'to-do list' last Spring: Knit myself a soft cable scarf in green, my favoritest of colors. I drew up my own pattern & made a special trip to Jo-anns to find the softest yarn possible. That yarn has waited patiently all year & now, after ripping the stitches out, re-writing the pattern & starting over 3 times, it slowly & lovingly becomes the scarf I hope to wear for many winters to come...On the right arm of my recliner a pretty ball of yarn unravels as I knit. And snuggled between my knees, a sweet puppy watches me.And while she watches me, I watch a marathon (this is where the neurosis comes in) of CSI. I actually wake up early & watch it until far past my bedtime on both Friday & Saturday. It is Sunday afternoon now & I may finish the second season this evening. I can't stop. I am obsessed & my bloodshot eyes prove it. I love Grissom. Quiet, book smart, mysterious. Of all the CSI's on TV, he is my favorite. If you're familiar with Grissom's character, you know that he is a crossword fanatic, so when I needed a break from the knitting, I penned a crossword or two or four...by now, who is counting? I did manage to peel myself away to take puppers for her walks & go grocery shopping for Thanksgiving, in case you are getting worried about me. :) Ahh, I'm such a homebody.

Love,
M

Holy Moly! You're getting to be quite a pro at knitting! I love how you're always watching some action/crime show when you're being so domestic! I on the other hand, spent the weekend uncovering a terrorist plot while watching Martha Stewart Living. ;)

Love the scarf, and I love green, too! I just started knitting this year and haven't attempted cables yet. One of these days...

Thanks for all the compliments ladies...awww.

Deanna, what terrorist plot were you uncovering and what crafts did MS have on her show? I like her crafts the best.
