What's on ur playlist?

I've had the worst ever luck with mp3 players, y'all! I had 2 of them that never worked right. So, for the past 10 years, I've been hauling around my CD player...on walks, to the gym, on airplanes or wherever music listening is required. While my CD player has always been reliable, it has also been bulky to carry. Not to mention, you have to carry extra CDs with you or listen to the same one over & over. Well, for my birthday-slash-anniversary gift this year I got another one! Thank you, babe. And guess what?!! It works!!!

So now I'm gonna share a part of my monsterous playlist (I went a little nuts this weekend) & in return I beg of you to share yours with me...or at least your favorite artists. I'm always looking for new music because I get bored easily.
I have to start with my all-time favorite singer, Natalie Merchant (formerly of 10,000 Maniacs). I love, love, love her voice & all the instruments used in her music.

More songs I'm loving right now:

Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's
Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae
Three Little Birds by Bob Marley & the Wailers
Truckin' by Grateful Dead
Another One Bites the Dust by Queen
We Got the Beat by The Go-Go's
Celebrate by Wyclef Jean
32 Flavors by Alana Davis
Groove is in the Heart by Deee-Lite
Island in the Sun by Weezer
Beverly Hills by Weezer
Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot
Shut up & Drive by Rihanna
Tainted Love by Soft Cell
Lose Your Way by Sophie B Hawkins
Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk
Stay by Lisa Loeb
Eternal Flame by The Bangles
That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings
Barbie Girl by Aqua
Love Shack by The B52's
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynrd Skynrd
(...and comedy by Mitch Hedberg & Dane Cook)

Now...do tell...what's on your playlist???

Thanks, Deanna! These are great choices...I just listened to all of them. I'm so loving my new Zune!!!

I'd never heard of Lady Antebellum (love the name). And they are my favorite on your list. I also liked India Arie, but I couldn't download any of her music. Simon & Garfunkel are classic...Mrs. Robinson is my fave song of theirs.

A few more artists I've added to my playlist this week are Dar Williams, Shawn Colvin & Lily Allen. Oh, & if yo get a chance, check out Chantal Kreviazuk. I love her & I think you might too.

I don't think I'm gonna get any more comments on this...oh well, I tried. I appreciate your support of my new music habit. :)

Ha! One more comment for you! Of course, it took forever to get going on it, because as soon as I saw your play list, I was paralyzed with shock! As I was reading through the list, I found myself constantly making comments like 'I have that album!' or 'I know the words to that song by heart!' or 'I just listened to that!'. It was almost creepy to read it all, like you had broken into my apartment and downloaded my music library! Though I still claim that some of the albums I have are outside of your taste range. I have a ton of CDs of artists that you probably haven't ever listened to; Third Day, Charlotte Church, Iz Kamakawiwo'ole, one Snoop Dog album (why do I have that?), Sparta, Muse, Ben Folds Five, Bob Seiger, Matisyahu, Dave Gilmour, Keith Green, Ruckus, Green Day, Lorena McKennit, the list goes on. When I finally get to meet you, we're going to have a lot to chat about!

Okay, David...I like Third Day, Muse & Green Day. Have you ever read the book about Keith Green...No Compromise? One of the best books I ever read. Definitely check it out if you haven't. And I even like Snoop Dog from back in the day. I used to cruise main street to Gin & Juice, before I was even old enough to drink. lol! Anyway, you'll have to share which albums you have & which songs you know by heart.
