The Healthiest Brownies I've Ever Made

I have recently heard about a couple friends using odd ingredients in their brownies. Black beans. I will try just about anything, but when I tried these, it was a bit of a mind over matter experience. To my surprise they were really good... well, you know... considering what's in them... ;)

I decided they were good enough that I needed to try making them myself. So, I went to one of my favorite websites, http://www.allrecipes.com/, and found a recipe for Black Bean Brownies. This website has just about anything you can think to cook and it has comments below each recipe from people who've tried it. Not only do you get ratings, but you get advice, suggestions, and ideas about each recipe.

The result? They turned out well. They were pretty easy and are great for people on a gluten-free or low-carb diet. Now, you can't compare them to the thick, fudgy brownies Grandma makes, but they taste great with a little frozen yogurt and chocolate syrup!

Hmmm...isn't there a way to make them healthy AND use real chocolate? I just can't get over the black bean hurdle.

this sounds like something my mother-in-law would make. she can't have very much sugar, glutan, and lots of other stuff. substitutions is the name of the game! anymore though, she makes the real stuff for my kids- they are finally old enough to realize why stuff tastes a little funny. They like the stuff made with the "real"- meaning white and processed sugar. *sigh*
