Ridiculously easy (& yummy) apple crisp

Okay, peeling & cutting apples is the hardest thing in preparing this recipe, unless you were invited to a bazillion Pampered Chef parties a few years ago & bought everything from their catalog including the apple-peeler-corer-slicer, which turned out to be one of the best things you ever did! In that case, this recipe is a breeze! Whew! This also happens to be a Pampered Chef recipe too (just to give credit where it is do).

Quick Apple Crisp

5 Granny Smith Apples
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I like walnuts)
1 package (9 ounces) yellow cake mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoons cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Peel, core & slice apples. Place apples in 8x8" or 9x9" baking dish.

2. Microwave butter on HIGH 30 seconds or until melted. Chop nuts. Add nuts, cake mix, sugar & cinnamon to bowl; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.

3. Bake 35-40 minutes or until apples are tender & topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.

Yields about 10 servings
Eat & enjoy your hard work... Melissa

You know, I just threw a pampered chef party a couple months ago, and I was wildly tempted by that peeler/corer dodad. But instead I bought a sharp knife and a chopper... your apple crisp looks delightful.

Yeah...the chopper is actually my favorite Pampered Chef item. If you ever have any questions, I've used almost all their stuff. I went a little Pampered Chef crazy...
